NOTICE: Recycling pickup has currently been suspended by the city. Recycling can be bought to the city’s Recycling Drop Off Center at 401 SW 4th Street. Refer to the City of Deerfield Beach website for updates.
Trash cans and bulk pickup can only be bought out after 4pm the prior day to the trash pick up. A. As of the April 15, 2024 board meeting, towing can occur for two reasons:
1) Parking on the grass.
2) Parking on community private streets between 12am-6am.
These are also violations of association rules and may result in a fine from the association, in addition to the expenses paid directly to the towing company. Just don't do it. Tow company information available on the home page.
Tow signs are included in the neighborhood. There will be no personal warning for towing. Remind your guests and vendors of the tow-able offenses when visiting you so as to avoid an unhappy surprise.
Additional parking infractions are discussed at regular board meetings and may be approved as tow-able occurrences. It is recommended you attend board meetings and subscribe to this website for updates.
A. Parking on the grass damages the health of the lawn and increases the presence of weeds. The type of weeds created due to compression from the weight of your car cannot be easily removed. We are trying to keep our community beautiful and not parking on the grass helps us to do that. Parking on the grass can result in a fine.
A. The community private streets are much thinner than the city streets. During time night hours (12am-6am), most, if not all, homeowners are home. If each homeowner were to park on the private street, there would be no room for vehicles to exit or enter the street, including emergency vehicles. Additionally, due to the limited space on the street, much overnight parking occurs behind a fellow homeowner's driveway. This can make entering or leaving from one's own driveway a different driving challenge. Nobody should be prevented from leaving or entering their own home. City streets are managed and maintained by the city and, as a result, the HOA cannot enforce the same rules. If you do not have room to park on your driveway, you may park on a city street or at the recreation city by submitting the parking approval form. Please be mindful of your neighbors when parking on any streets.
A. Turn your outdoor lamppost on! This helps deter would be burglars from approaching your home. Always keep your vehicle(s) locked. Obey the 25 MPH posted speed limit.
A. Yes! Lawns should be watered only when watering is actually necessary. Many homeowners rely on automatic sprinkler systems to apply small amounts of water several times weekly, regardless of rainfall. This is detrimental to a healthy lawn. When too much water is applied, the roots of the grass do not grow as deep. This means when the water supply is reduced, the grass has less ability to obtain water from the ground and thus, less chance to survive droughts. Too frequent water growth also contributes to the increase of weeds, as weeds will also utilize the water available.
A. Looking at the grass, not the weeds, will advise when the lawn needs watering. Although
the weeds may be dying (which is what we want),your grass might not actually be doing bad. later your lawn only when 30% to 50% of it shows at least one of the three wilt signs: 1) folding leaf blades 2) blue-gray color (not bright green) 3) footprints remaining in grass.
Less frequent, longer irrigations will help establish a deeper root system for the grass.
A. Not only is proper watering important for the health of the lawn but proper watering is
important for our environment. Water is not a never-ending resource just because we have the
oceans. Water is a precious resource and should not be wasted, even though you have a well and don’t pay for city water. By being responsible in your own watering habits, you contribute to healthy lawns and to an Earth being available for future generations. Please turn off your sprinklers during increased periods of rainfall and water
